Bank Accounts of some Nigerians frozen Despite BVN registration

Many Nigerians have been complaining since yesterday about their accounts being frozen by their banks despite the fact that they have done their BVN registration. CBN spokesperson, Ibrahim Muazu, had on Sunday November 1st said despite the expiration of the October 31st deadline for BVN registration, 
                                

customers will still be allowed to do their registration but however their accounts will be made inaccessible until they do their registration.

However reports from many Nigerians show that even after doing their registration many months ago, some banks have gone ahead to deactivate their accounts. Many say they could not withdraw from their accounts yesterday, leaving them cash trapped.
