New Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Made Triumphal Entry Into Ile-Ife


New Ooni of Ile Ife, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has on October 28 arrived the ancient town for the first time since he was pronounce by the Osun state government.

After a long battle next to the death of Oba Sijuwade, Ogunsuwi, a prince from the Giesi Ruling House in the town became the new Ooni of Ife.
On his arrival with armed security staff, the Ooni stopped at the Ife toll gate to appreciate the chiefs led by the Lowa of Ife.
The streets were full with the huge crowd with schoolchildren, market women, motorcycle riders and other residents of the town.

That’s why Ooni-elect took time to admit cheers from the waiting mob by raising his right hand several times to greet his supporters.
Ogunsuwi went to the home of the Obalufe to pay respect before proceeding to his compound of the Giesi Ruling House where he is to be installed as Sooko.
Adelowo Ogunleye, secretary of the Giesi Ruling House, said the Ooni-elect will receive the title of Ojaja II, during his reign.
Ogunleye clarified that the Ojaja family is a part of the Giesi ruling house.
He said: “The Kabiyesi has promised to further the development of Ife and provide jobs for the unemployed.
“When he is finally installed, I am sure he will state the rest himself.”
