Ex- President Goodluck Jonathan Observes Tanzania Presidential Election (photos)

The former president, who is the Chairman of the Commonwealth Observer Group for the Tanzanian presidential election that held same day is pictured having a chitchat with some of Tanzania’s election monitoring group right before the commencement of the elections.

When Jonathan arrived Tanzania, the ex-president took part in a press conference, in which he called on the Tanzanian National Electoral Commission, political parties and civil society is the country to ensure a peaceful and transparent election.
Jonathan recalled the March 28 presidential election and, using his acceptance of defeat as a bright example, assured politicians that they should always put the interests of the citizens first. The former president also stressed that any attempt to reject the will of the people will lead to chaos and loss of lives.
