Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state is a politician who is always ready to amaze Nigerians by his statements and surprising actions.
On August 12, Wednesday, on his way from Akure, Fayose had a stopover at Elegberun Market in Ikere Ekiti. The governor not only had a chance to look at the construction work going on in the market, but took time to buy some soup ingredients. No need to describe the feelings of the market women who were more than delighted to sell products to the governor.
Shortly after the inspection, Fayose shared some photos of the event on his official Twitter handle:
It is not the first time the Ekiti state governor has come down to the level of the common man. A week ago Fayose was spotted dancing with some people in the Ikere area of the state.
Earlier this year, he was pictured with some of his aides eating amala (a local delicacy) at a local restaurant in Ajilosun in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.
