Dog bites woman to death in Ondo

A middle aged woman, Mrs. Florence Aladenoye was at the weekend bitten to death by a dog in Idanre local government area of Ondo State.From the report gathered, the victim was paying a visit to one of her friends who have security dogs in the house when she was attacked.
Already, officials of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (CIID) have begun investigation on the matter.
Owner of the dog, Afolabi Olofingbesote has been invited by the police detective for interrogation.
It was gathered that immediately the deceased was bitten, she was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre(FMC), Owo where all attempts made by the medical personnel to save her life proved abortive as she gave up tyhe ghost in the hospital.
The incident was said to have been reported at the Alade Idanre Police outpost where the Divisional Police Officer(DPO) led a team of homicide detectives to the scene of the incident and arrested the owner of the dog.
Investigation revealed that on interrogation, the owner told the police that the dog belongs to him and that he did not immunize it.
Confirming the incident, the Ondo State Police Public Relation Officer, Mr. Wole Ogodo said the victim was immediately rushed to the hospital after the dog bit.
“She later died despite all effort to save her in the hospital”, the police spokesman said
Ogodo also confirmed the arrest of the dog owner, adding that the police had taken his statement, and the remains of the deceased had since been deposited at Alade Idanre General Hospital Mortuary for postmortem examination.
The police spokesman warned those who are rearing dogs and other domestic animals in their homes to ensure that their animals were properly immunized...DAILY POST Reporting
