CBN Extends BVN deadline (Read it here)

Most banks across Nigeria witnessed long queues of  agitated customers pushing and shoving one another in a bid to register first.
Many customers, who couldn’t do the registration on Monday arrived the premises of the banks as early as 5:30am to take advantage of the last opportunity to do so.
In a circular issued and addressed to banks, the CBN’s Director Banking and Payment System Department, Dipo Fatokun said the extension of the verification exercise to october 31 by the central bank of Nigeria was necessary to give Nigerian banks’ customers ample time to enrol on the program.
