A Malaysia Airlines flight en route to Kuala Lumpur made an emergency landing in Melbourne after the plane's engine burst into flames after take-off.
Flight MH148 landed back in Melbourne just before the pilot made an emergency call less than 45 minutes into the flight.
While there are reports a fire broke out in one of the engines, with the Metropolitan Fire Brigade confirming they had responded to an incident at the airport, Malaysia Airlines released a statement that said there is no physical evidence of an external fire.
Malaysia Airines confirmed that all 300 passengers on-board during the emergency landing were safely evacuated.
Engineers and ground personnel are inspecting the Airbus 330 and the airline said it would provide more information as it comes to light.
According to reports, the pilot notified ground crew before he switched off one of the engines, dumped fuel and performed an emergency landing.
The plane circled the airport several times before landing.
